Fun at Ford

Last week/weekend, we went down to Ford Plantation from Wednesday to Sunday for a dear family friend's wedding. It was a vacay and a wedding all in one! Ford is always a heavenly getaway for us...this time the weather wasn't as good as it usually is, but we still had so much fun.

The girls and I flew with my parents while Graham drove down so we would have a car. When we first got there, the girls and I went to the pool and playground for a bit. After that, we went with my parents up to the clubhouse to have a drink and get the girls some dinner. The highlight for them was the ice cream after!!! (All my pics are from my I phone so not such good quality :/)

The next day was cloudy, but warm so we had a really fun day! We did some golf cart riding...

Some swimming (and hot tubbing!)
This was Hayes' first go with the puddle jumper and she did not know to lean forward so kept ending up on back...she didn't like it, but it was funny!

We also went to the Marina where they have big jars of candy! C got M&Ms and H got a lollipop. She loved it.

The quickest way from the marina to the Main House is over a dyke on the river and after we had gone most of the way and were covered in sand, we came upon a huge crocodile. My mom wanted to turn around, but Graham decided we would just fly past him in the golf cart. We made it, but it was a little scary as he was huge!!! But we made it to the main house for "Cookies and Cocktails"...always a hit!!! C has a huge cookie in her mouth here!
Sitting by pool at Main House...

The next day was kind of rainy, but we still made it for cookies and cocktails. We only had a couple days we could do it, so we made it happen! These girls were lovin' it!
Then while C was swinging, H was playing with a bag we had and literally putting it on her head and walking around...we always said she was quirky and this is no exception, but she did get us all laughing with this!

That night was the Rehearsal Dinner which was an Oyster Roast and so fun. The girls had a sitter so Graham and I had fun having a night out. This is a way blurry pic from my phone of Sean Hannity giving a toast as the bride used to work for him and the groom is his producer. He did a great job as one would expect :).

The next day was still rainy unfortunately, but the wedding was still amazing. Carrie was the Flower Girl and H was with a sitter. Here is C all dressed and SO excited!!!
The bridesmaids were so sweet to her and she thought she was SO cool.

With my girl.
It's time to go!

Carrie did such a good job, smiling the whole way down. It obviously wore her out as this was what the ride from the church to the reception looked like...
After a good power nap, she was ready to party with her punch!
This group of Republicans had some pretty elephants that C loved...
And then there was a Rocketeer...literally. See the guy flying out there?? He was wearing some kind of tank on his back that made him fly! It was nuts...

The tent was amazing. Lookied like a real ballroom! And the kid's table was so cute! They all had chalkboard placemats and thermos's with their names on them and more. C was more than thrilled to sit by herself with the kids. There were twin junior bridesmaids who were 11 who were so sweet to her and she loved being with them!

And after dinner, C was first on the dance floor! She partied on the dance floor for a long time!!!
Dancing with Junior Bridesmaid.
And with BA...

Watching first dance with Uncle Jim before dancing with him.

A video my dad took of Graham and Carrie dancing and at the end shows how beautiful the tent was.

I don't have any pics with the bride, but she was stunning! We all had a blast and we let C stay until 930 before taking her back to sitter so it is no surprise this was what the drive home looked like...
It was so fun, but we are all pooped!!! It was a whirlwind!
