Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Well I am the worst blogger...it is official! Life is nuts and therefore the blog is the first thing to go! But I am going to update you on our holiday season so far which has been a whirlwind!

We went to South Carolina for Thanksgiving. It is always a treat to visit family there and this year was the same. The girls love getting spoiled by all the love and attention and we love to be spoiled by eating Mamaw's yummy food! I did not take many pictures, but here are a few...

We took Carrie to see "Frozen" the new Disney Princess movie. It was so fun...the movie was great and Carrie loved it. I have never heard her laugh so hard in my life!
As per usual in November, Hayes was sick. Not only did she have a double ear infection, but she had RSV. The poor girl was not so happy or hungry, but she showed her sweet side some :)
Got spoiled by Uncle E and ate breakfast in his lap.
C loved the parade and cuddling up at Mamaw's.

Loved our sick baby!
When we got home, we went to pick out our tree. It was the happiest poor sick Hayes had been in weeks. The girls had a blast! They ran around and played hide and seek and helped us get a great tree!
They were also great little helpers when it came to decorating!

All decked out!
Then, as is tradition, the girls got to open their Christmas jammies and new Christmas books!
I have been doing a lot of cooking and baking this holiday season and C has been a fun little helper!
The first weekend of December, I was supposed to go on a girl's trip to Dallas, but the ice storm canceled us :(. So we made a stay-cation of it and stayed downtown in Nashville and had a fun night away. It was a really nice break for mama!

Dad got Hayes this elf hat at the Dollar Store...he never dreamed she would like it so much. I will have to post the video next. She loves it and likes to run around singing "Jingle Bells" in it. It is hilarious.
At school the girls had fun Christmas events. Carrie invited me to class to decorate Gingerbread houses. It was so fun and she kept saying "I am so happy you are here with me to do this, Mama." Mama sure loved that!! She did a great job on hers...

Hayes did not love the festivities as much. She told me she was going to sit with Santa and tell him she wanted "Choo Choos" but instead she screamed bloody murder...(of course she had her elf hat on which makes it even funnier.)
We went to a precious Christmas party with friends and Santa came. Hayes wanted nothing to do with him. Every time I asked her is she wanted to see him she said "No Santa! Hayes Cry!" But Carrie has been all about seeing some Santa this year and walked right up to him to tell him her wishes!
Sweet friends!
Lucy and Carrie telling Santa what they want...Carrie never strays from her main 3 things...Pocahontas Costume, Palace Pet Salon and American Girl Stuff.
The next day we had a snow day! No school and lots of fun!

The next night we went out to Opryland with the Hillenmeyers to look at all the lights! The kids were in heaven. It was so magical to them. I sure do love these sweet friends. They really love each other!

Taking it all in.

We had a little playgroup cookie decorating party at Frosted Affair that the kids loved. These 2 little Santas had a big time.
Graham and I took the girls to Franklin this past weekend to shop and eat and did not realize it was "Dickens of a Christmas". It was so cute and lots of fun. They have all the Dickens characters dressed up and lots of booths set up. The girls had fun doing the petting zoo and Carrie had a lot of fun running into this big guy!!!

That night was Graham's company Christmas party. Santa was there, too! Lots of times to see Santa! And how unexpected...Hayes walked right up and got in his lap and told him she wanted choo-choos! We were shocked!! I do not know what changed her mind, but it was so cute!
Carrie seeing Santa AGAIN the next day at another Christmas party! There were so many parties and so many Santa visits, but she wanted to sit with him every time!!!

Then Monday was the Christmas Pageant and Carrie got to the be the Star of Bethlehem! She was so excited and it was such a cute part! She did a great job and we loved it.

Her biggest fan came to watch and loved seeing Sissy up there! (Sassy face alert!)

When we got to Carrie's classroom, she was SO excited to see Hayes. So cute :). We were so proud of our little star. It was such a special and sweet program.
So that is just a glimpse into our craziness! Lots of fun and we are getting really excited about next week when Santa comes! Merry Christmas!
