And now Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve tradition for my family is to get together with the whole Webb/Bass clan. I have such fond memories of this night from my childhood and I am so glad this tradition will carry on for Carebear. It used to be at Big and Grandad's house, but is now at Uncle Jim and Aunt Becky's house. It has always been a nice Christmas Eve dinner followed by a gift exchange. It is so fun to see everyone and we have always been a really close family so it is fun to all be together.

I tried twice to get a picture in front of their tree, but, of course, failed...

When my cousin Frank came in with his 4 children, Carrie got really excited! Frank and Tricia have 4 kids ranging from 2 to 8 so Carrie was in heaven! It is so great for her to have cousins to play with!

And the next thing we know, the food table with the table cloth over it had become a fort and it was a hit with all five kids! It was hysterical. They all played under there for what seemed like forever. I could just hear Carrie giggling then she would pop out and go back in and just had an absolute blast!


Carrie goes to bed at 7 normally so staying up until 9 was a bit of a stretch, but she did really well. She did have a meltdown when the other kids opened their gifts and she wanted them and they weren't hers, but again, it was really late so we couldn't blame her. She had a big night and slept really well! It was a really special night and we look forward to many more Christmas Eve's with the family.
