It was a very busy, but very wonderful Christmas. We got to have a lot of visitors and house guests and Carrie always loves a full house! It just means more attention for her, more applause and more fun! She also was way more into her gifts than she was even just 3 months ago at her birthday! She was spoiled rotten, of course, but what can ya do?! Her gifts began early in the week when Big (Her namesake and great grandmother) brought over this adorable antique wicker rocker for her and her babies...needless to say, it is a huge hit!
On Thursday, Uncle E and Papa both arrived which was very fun. She loves getting to see everyone. Papa brought dada a really cool USC Gamecock cornhole game, but Carrie was sure it was for her...
Yay! I made it! (She thinks we're all really dumb for standing so far away to throw it when you can just walk up and drop it in :) )

(Insert Christmas Eve night pictures here...next post)Christmas morning Santa had definitely stopped by. I got my first white Christmas and I was so thrilled!
And Santa also, of course, came to see miss Carebear.
The first thing she wanted to do was read the potty book Santa brought...a good sign maybe???
She also got the American Girl Bitty Baby. The problem is, all her babies that she already has have eyes that are always open. Bitty Baby's eyes open and close and for some really weird reason, this totally freaks her out and she does not like Bitty Baby. Apparently she does not like sleeping babies...oh how that will change in 25 or 30 years...
She hasn't really gotten into the coloring with crayons thing, but she LOVED this mini magnadoodle and actually has done really well with it! It's the little things...
After we saw what Santa had brought, Cy-Cy and BA came over and gave Carrie her own kitchen! It was a huge hit as I suspected it would be. Carrie has been really into watching me cook lately so now she has her own kitchen in our kitchen so we can cook together!
After we had finished opening all the presents and had Christmas brunch, Carrie wanted to go outside really badly. She hasn't really had a chance to 'play in the snow' so we bundled her up as best we could with no snow suit and let her go out. She immediately wanted to touch it...
So mad that she had gloves on! Could not figure out how to pick up the basketball with them on...

That afternoon, Mimi and Fran came in town! More fun visitors that Carrie loved seeing. And we did another round of presents! Carrie got her very own mini Grand piano! And she, of course, loved it. She loves anything and everything having to do with music and instruments (I guess because of music class!) She has been playing this nonstop!
Mimi and Fran also got Carrie and me matching aprons to wear in our kitchens when we cook together along with a mommy and me cookbook! She looked so cute wearing hers and I know we will love wearing them while we cook together...
And after presents, the men began that annual frying of the turkey. Let me just say that every year this takes way longer than we expect, but every year it is amazing and worth all the time put in.
We then had a wonderful Christmas dinner after Carrie was asleep. This morning Mimi and Fran left and now it is just Carrie and I at the house again and I think she is missing all the attention and extra applause, but she sure is exhausted! It was such a great Christmas and we are very thankful for our loving families, our sweet baby girl, our friends, a house that is a home and so much more.
