Here are the pink-ish cookies that she cut out before they went in the oven.
It was hard to explain to a 2 year old that they then needed to bake and cool before we could decorate and eat them! But she you know what always helps her wait? Mickey Mouse Clubhouse :). Finally they were ready and I iced them for her so she could do the sprinkles. After she ate lunch, it was time for her to eat one and she is such a freak about having anything on her hands that it took her about 30 minutes to eat the cookie because she was trying to avoid getting messy the whole time. But she sure did like it!!! She told me Hayes wanted to eat one and I told her she could when she was a big girl which may be the next time we make them together :) haha. No, but it was fun...I am like her, though, in that messes overwhelm me so for things like this, I just have to let it go and let her have fun being a 2 year old. It makes the mess worth it to see her having a good time.
And here is a little video of Carrie singing to Hayes. Hayes is such a chatterbox that she couldn't keep her mouth shut and had to join in so it became a duet. It was pretty cute. Carrie has been such an amazing big sister to Hayes lately and it is fun to watch. Hayes used to flinch a little when Carrie walked up to her, but now she smiles. It's pretty great!

absolutely precious.
