Day Out with Thomas AND the Chesworths!

Last year C loved Day Out with Thomas, but she seemed sort of over it so we thought we would skip this year until our dear friends from Knoxville, the Chesworths, decided to bring their little boy Jack to Nashville for it. Jack is 2 so it's a perfect time to take him and we, of course, wanted to go with them! Unfortunately, we got a rainy, yucky morning for it!!! It was raining when we got there so we pretty much just immediately lined up to get on the train and out of the rain. As you can tell, C liked the train...at first!
Looking for animals...
Sweet.
But eventually the kiddos got bored on the train and some rough housing ensued. It was pretty funny, but I think we were all ready for the train ride to be over when it was. And at that point, luckily the rain had stopped! But the kids liked the puddles...
And C liked the popcorn!
And the bouncy house! Jack was a little intimidated by the huge bouncy house so C came by to say hi him!
Both kids loved the miniature golf. I think Jack was better than C...she was no good, but she had fun and thought she was good haha.

Picture with Thomas!
As always, C loved the petting zoo. She fed the animals and then one of the horned animals started butting her with his horns for food. She kind of freaked out, but when I laughed, she did too.
We wereall over it and ready to get out of there after a few activities so we headed to Tavern for a yummy brunch and then home to take naps. That night, we both had sitters so we could try Mangia in Franklin. It is just a once a week Italian Family style feast with a set menu and LOTS of entertainment. The food was AMAZING and the experience was SO much fun.
The chef drumming along to the music with his equipment.
We said we would not be dancing, but what-do-ya-know, by the end, we all were. Notice the chef leading this number and our friend John dancing away. It was a blast!!!
The next morning they came to play for a bit...
C and Jack had a ball together.
And poor H who is still too little to really play just hung out.
Awe, love.
And as if we had not had enough food at our Italian feast, we went to get brunch at Loveless!!! Here are the sweet kiddos looking at a book on Jack's I pad. They were so cute together.
Awe. This is a fav of mine. And Chubby H LOVED Loveless. I mean as soon as they set my food down, before I had time to react, she had reached under my arm, grabbed a handful of my hashbrown casserole and shoveled it into her mouth. Hilarious.
She wears it well.
She loves when I wear my sunglasses so she can initiate a game of Peek A Boo.
Love, love, love this round face and big grin.
Sweet kiddos!!!
It was SUCH a fun weekend. We love having the Chesworths here. The kids love to play together and we always love to get a sitter and try a new Nashville restaurant with our foodie friends. We hope they come back very soon!!!

  1. OK...tha first pic of Carrie might be my favorite picture EVER!!!!!! You did an amazing job with the quality of the pic but her sweet face in the reflection and her precious braids are too much!!! AND the one of her eating popcorn. Those eyelashes and cheeks are just too sweet.
