Hollis Wedding Weekend

This past weekend we went to Columbia for one of Graham's best friend's wedding. Travis and Graham have been good friends for forever so we were excited to celebrate him and Emily getting married. We always have a good time visiting Columbia and seeing friends and family and this trip was no exception! We left Hayes here because it was going to be such a quick trip with a lot of driving. We left Friday morning and drove the 7 hours there and then turned around and drove 7 hours back on Sunday. We thought that would be a lot for little her! So it was nice to spend some time with just Carrie since she does not get that anymore and Hayes was happy in her own house not sitting in a car seat for 14 hours!

When we got there Friday, Graham headed straight to the rehearsal and while I got ready for the rehearsal dinner, I also got C ready to go on a date with Papa! She was so excited. He took her to Bonefish Grille where they sat at the bar and had a great meal. They had a great time and that was a big treat for her! We hardly ever take her out to dinner since H is so ready for bed by 630 or 645!

Here they are walking out the door for their date!
Graham's other best friend from Columbia, Vaughn, has 2 girls as well. We hardly ever get to see them so we all got together Saturday morning for play time at Ed Venture (a really neat and fun children's museum type thing) and for lunch. Carrie was off the walls that morning after sitting in the car the whole day before and being in a whole new and exciting place. This was a great place for her to go burn off some steam! She definitely wore us out between running all over the place and having a meltdown over wanting to play on the outside slide once she spotted it, but she had a blast!

Here she is next to Callie and Chloe playing with the chickens. She loved this and it was just putting eggs under the chickens and then into egg cartons. Random, but whatever works!
Driving the tractor with Callie.
Doing some grocery shopping.
I think her favorite inside thing was this boat. You could "drive" it and talk through this red thing into the other red thing inside the boat and there was a place you could reel down a rope with a basket on it and "catch" fish. She played here a long time. She was kind of bossy here and thought she owned this boat.
She has a "Fancy Nancy" book about butterflies and a butterfly garden so she wanted to go into this butterfly garden. That is until she got in there and saw the outdoor play area and came apart about wanting to do the slide. Once we got her under control, though, and assured her the slide was next, she enjoyed the butterfly garden. It really was neat!
Vaughn and Graham and the girls. Funny that both Vaughn and Graham were 1 of 2 boys and now both have 2 girls! So we had to get a pic of them with their girls (minus Hayes). I took several, but in every one, someone was not looking so this was the best one I got.
After this we went and got some Mexican and Carrie and Callie had a big time following each other around the table and eating cheese dip. I am glad they got to play since they never see each other!

Carrie had a blast with her sitter that night while Graham and I enjoyed the wedding. Everything was perfect for Travis and Emily and I am so glad we got to be a part of it. Our stay was too short so we look forward to getting back there again sometime soon. C was definitely exhausted from the chaotic weekend and I can tell she needs a few days to get some good rest! Next wedding is in less than 2 weeks...my cousin Jay and his fiance Tayler and Carrie is a flower girl so she needs to get all rested up!!!
