Tree Trimming

As always we got right to work decking the halls after our Thanksgiving trip. Monday afternoon was our decorating day and we got to the tree farm just in time to beat the rain! C was so excited to help us pick a tree. We didn't love the ones she picked, but she is convinced she picked the one we got which is all that matters!

And they are off to search...
They are trimming it for us!!!
Chainsaw made her do a double take, haha.
We go to the same place every year and they know us so were really nice and let C pick out a small tree for herself for free!
When we got home, we decorated C's tree and it actually turned out cute!
I saw an idea on Pinterest where you give your kids a present Christmas Eve that is their Christmas pajamas and Christmas movie for that night. I did not want the girls to only wear the pjs once so I adapted that idea and told them they each get a present the night we set the tree up and they got their pajamas and a new Christmas book. C was pumped,.

And it was fun to have Carrie's help with the tree this year...she did a good job and really enjoyed it. She gave us the breakable ones to hang up high away from Hayes' reach and she hung the non breakable ones down low where she could reach.
Hayes checking it out...
The finished product.
We got all decorated and even Hayes is following the "no touch" rule. She is kind of rebellious so I thought she would hear my "no touch" and then smile and do it anyways, but she didn't so that's a relief! It was a fun night of decorating and we are all enjoying having it all up. C does ask every night if Santa is coming which could make for a long season, but her Elf "Elfelfa" arrived this morning so she is very occupied with that right now which may help!

The next morning we had fun playing and snuggling in my bed and I couldn't resist posting this cute pic of them in their matching jammies...love these 2 so much and am very thankful to share this special time of year with them!!!
