Adventure Science Museum...

On Friday, our friends Libby and Scott were heading to the Adventure Science Museum. Carrie and I are always open to getting out of the house so we met a few of our friends over there. Libby had been with Scott before, but at the time, there was a trains display so a lot for the little ones to do. She said she was a little disappointed that there was not as much this time, but Carrie was NOT disappointed. She, of course, has no idea what to expect so she loved it! There was a little room for kids 6 and under which is where we spent most of our time.

And the kids could sit in here and run the "digger." None of them loved this, but we tried.
It is hard to see this from this picture, but you can kind of tell with the man in this pic that this big backdrop was like a mirror, but it was in these crazy colors. Hard to explain, but the kids thought it was cool.

Carrie just got down and started playing it with her hands like she does with her piano at home.
She really just loved running around. There were TONS of kids there for field trips so it was wild and she loved that. We tried going to the bigger kids area, but most of it they could not do.
So back to the kid's room. Here is Mary giving the digger a shot.
And they loved the train table, of course.
It was actually really fun. When Carrie is like 5, she will love it. Maybe she will go on a field trip there then..even better :). But it wore her out which is great. Afterwards we ate lunch at Taco Mamacitas with Libby and Scott and they actually have a great kids menu for all you moms out there wanting a new spot you can take the kiddos! After both events, it was hard to keep Carrie awake on the ride home, but we managed and she got a good long nap!!!

Another Carrie update...as you all know, she has a history of not being the best eater. But recently, I had just decided to let it go and assume it is just another toddler phase. And right when I did that, she has done so well!!! She will try anything these days and seems like so many more foods. It has been so great. I was hoping the day would come :). So below is a pic of her eating her snack...edamame beans...yep, she loved it. I was very impressed!
She also ate well at Kalamatas (a Greek restaurant) the other day. She ate lamb with taziki sauce, greek seasoned potatoes and even falafel! Here's hoping this trend continues!

I am going to try to be better about the blog, I promise! Just has not been a lot new going on around here lately...
