And here with her new friend Hunt...
Then it was the egg hunt. Carrie kind of understood it, but she was in no hurry to gather a bunch of eggs...she just wanted to get one, open it and eat it's contents. It was kind of the theme of the weekend. I think next year she may understand a little more.Starting out...(oh and yes there are bunny ears around her neck...she 'borrowed' (stole really) her friend Anne Claire's ears)
Picking out her first egg...
Dad taking her to find more.
Yes! Goldfish!
Better stop and eat them real quick...
Ears up, more fish in...
Wondering why everyone else seems to be in a hurry...
A little yawn mid eat.
A sweaty mess chowing after the hunt.Carrie was so excited her friend Ella had brought balls. Here she is literally screaming "BALL!"
Sunday morning she woke up to find that the Easter bunny had come! And brought her some fun goodies!
After Church, we went Aunt Allison and Uncle Frank's house for lunch and an egg hunt like we do every year! We decided to give the egg hunt a 3rd shot and we got pretty much the same result. She picked them up, opened them and then wanted to eat them or play with what came inside instead of getting more eggs.
"Please." is what she is saying to Graham. She wants him to open the candy she found. Maybe next year ;).
She got a bouncy ball in one egg which was the highlight for sure!
And after 2 or 3 eggs, she picked up her basket and headed back to the patio. She had what she needed!
Or not. She was heading straight for what she really needed...some cheese straws.
She loves Aunt Allison and Uncle Frank's house because they have 4 grandkids which means lots of toys!!! And a little rocking chair that fit her just right.

And then she saw dada...
Sweaty girl playing with her new bouncy ball.
After that, we put her down for her nap and made an executive decision to skip the Belle Meade egg hunt. She clearly was not into it and had already done 3 so we figured we would try to get a good nap out of her and spend the rest of the day at home. She actually napped which was so nice (maybe she is adjusting to the medicine which they said happens) and we just spent the afternoon in the backyard. I will say I am ready to be done with the medicine and ear infection and have my sweet baby back! It was a fun weekend, but more trying than usual :). Just another reminder of how much I need a Savior! Thank goodness Christ is Risen, He is risen indeed!
i LOVE her sweet easter dress!
