Yay, BA!
So many of you have been so dear to check in with me about my dad as he has gone through Chemo these past 8 months. I am so happy and feel so blessed to be able to report that after 2 rounds of chemo, 2 stem cell transplants and 2 more rounds of Chemo in Little Rock, he has completed his treatment and is in "profound remission." We are so proud of him and overjoyed with the outcome. The Lord is so faithful and we are so thankful for the healing he has done in dad. It has not been easy on him, but dad has been so strong and courageous and an inspiration to all of us. He looks so good (as you can see in the pictures from the past post) and seems to be feeling really well overall. He will continue to get maintenance treatment, but most of that can be done here at Vanderbilt so he will only have to go to Little Rock for a few days every few months which is so great. And he and I somehow timed this just right that my pregnancy and his treatment lined up exactly the same so they both began back in January and both will end in October. I am very happy to have them back in time for baby Hayes because I would not be able to do it without them here. And there is one happy little Carebear in our house now that Cy-Cy and BA are home. She wants to see them at least once a day every day and after 3 weeks away, they are happy to oblige :). So thanks to all of you for the prayers...we definitely felt them and the Lord heard them and we are thankful to be where we are today. We love you, BA! So glad you are home and well!
